Our sake brewing dates back more than 200 years to the early 18th century. Our sake brewery is located in the middle of a commerce center near a river port where rice farming and silver mining have flourished. The area is still famed for a heavy snow accumulation of more than 12 feet on flat land. The snow accumulation is a burden for daily life but an excellent source of water for agriculture and sake brewing. Summers are very hot with a temperature difference of 100° F (55° C) between summer and winter.

The company does not wish to mass produce or mass distribute its sake nor are we inclined to super-traditional brewing either. The company intends to manufacture the best product possible in a limited amount. We want to sell our products directly to retailers or restaurants without the conventional and complex distribution channels. Similarly, we wish to be selective in the locations in which we choose to make our sake available. We intend to sell the best product possible to those who have a true appreciation for our philosophy and product quality.
